Existera is a non-profit association in Sweden that provides support to women who have been exposed to female genital mutilation and dedicates its efforts to prevent FGM among those at risk. Existera trains and advises professionals who meet affected community members, such as staff in social services and schools. The association, which is politically and religiously independent, is run by women who are children of Survivors and by women who have experience of working with issues linked to violence against women.

Existera has a helpline that is accessible to all vulnerable categories, and they work directly with Survivors, acting as a bridge between Swedish authorities and communities.

The association hosts the Circle for Survivors organised in north of Stockholm, twice a year since 2019. Project founded by the city council of Stockholm. Existera engages in advocacy at national level since 2015 and is a member of the coordination team at national level for the work against FGM in Sweden.
