AIDOS Launches UEFGM Platform in Rome

On the 6th of February, AIDOS is launching the United to End Female Genital Mutilation (UEFGM) European web knowledge platform, at 11 h. at the Fondazione Brodolini (via Solferino 32) in Rome. The event, endorsed by the Italian Department for Equal Opportunities, will be moderated by journalist Emanuela Zuccalà. Clara Caldera (AIDOS), Francesco Di Pietro (ASGI – Association for Law Studies on Migration), Francesca Paltenghi (UNHCR), Lale Say (WHO) and a representative of the Department for Equal Opportunities will discuss about the need for professionals to access to proper and cultural and gender sensitive training on FGM, in order to better support women and girls affected by the practice.
