The Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health is releasing an Action Plan for the Prevention of Female Genital Mutilation/Circumcision of Girls and Women 2018-2020, and the Finnish League for Human Rights (FLHR) is part of the steering group for this Action Plan.

Under the National Action Plan for the Istanbul Convention for 2018-2020, the FLHR will train various professionals and public authorities nationwide on female genital mutilation (FGM) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment’s (TEM) Centre of Expertise in Immigration’.
