New e-learning tool on FGM/C by The Network against Female Genital Cutting Switzerland

How can I raise the issue of FGM/C in my work if I suspect that a child or woman is affected?
What can I do in a suspected case?

The Network against Female Genital Cutting Switzerland e-learning platform provides valuable information and offers concrete recommendations for dealing with the issue.

The e-learning platform is an adaptation of an existing model that was originally developed by the Vienna Programme for Women's Health in cooperation with other actors. The aim of the e-learning is to provide professionals with an interactive tool to support them in identifying a potential risk or concern regarding FGM. The e-learning offers the opportunity to practice having conversations about the sensitive topic of female genital cutting. Female genital cutting is often still a taboo, even among professionals. However, in order to efficiently protect and accompany girls and women, it is essential to address the topic openly and gently at the same time. The Network against Female Genital Cutting Switzerland would like to thank the women professionals in Vienna for their generosity in allowing us to adapt the product to our context. The new learning tool is available in German for the time being.
