Reflecting on a Decade of Action: Aminata Bah’s Keynote Speech at End FGM EU’s 10th Anniversary
On November 6th, we marked a significant milestone in the journey of the End FGM European Network —a decade of relentless action, advocacy, and solidarity in the fight against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
Established in 2014, following a powerful campaign by Amnesty International, End FGM EU was founded with the vision to address FGM as a European issue.
Over the past 10 years, we have grown into a united force for change, empowering affected communities, amplifying voices, and advocating for stronger laws and policies to eradicate FGM across Europe and beyond.
During this special event, we were honored to hear from Aminata Bah, our Senior Ambassador, whose passion and dedication have been pivotal in shaping our collective journey.
Aminata has been a guiding force within End FGM EU since its inception, ensuring that FGM remains a key priority on the political agenda and driving meaningful change for women and girls affected by this harmful practice. We invite you to read Aminata's inspiring keynote speech, in which she reflects on the network’s achievements over the past decade and shares her vision for the future of the fight against FGM.
