Initially released in English, this guide was designed to empower activists, grassroots organisations, and frontline workers with the essential resources to deal with FGM effectively. It features concrete methodologies, proven community-based strategies, and survivor-centred approaches to promote impactful, grassroot based action.
Understanding the importance of linguistic inclusivity, the guide is now also available in French, enhancing its relevance and usability for French-speaking activists, communities, and organisations engaged in the movement to end FGM.

At our Network, we recognise the vital role of local leaders and grassroots actors. This guide celebrates their strength, determination, and the critical role they play in driving social change and promoting gender justice.
We also extend our appreciation to the UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme for the elimination of FGM for producing this impactful resource and for their continuous commitment to supporting those leading the charge against FGM worldwide.
Share this valuable resource with your networks and contribute to the global movement to end FGM!
