Women’s empowerment and harmful practices: online workshop with End FGM EU ambassador
The End FGM European Network invites participants to join an online workshop on Women’s Empowerment and Harmful Practices, led by End FGM EU Youth Ambassador Bassmala Mohammed Morkaz.
Organised in the context of Women’s History Month, the workshop will explore how harmful practices affect the lives of women and girls around the world and how empowerment, education, and collective action can drive positive change.
Participants will learn about the links between gender inequality and harmful practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and honour based violence, as well as their impacts on physical, mental, and social wellbeing. The session will also highlight the important role that communities, organisations, and young people play in preventing these practices and promoting gender equality.
The interactive workshop will provide a space for discussion and reflection on how individuals can contribute to safer and more inclusive societies.
