Who are they?
SDG Watch Europe is an EU-level, cross-sectoral alliance of Non-Governmental Organisations from development, environment, social, human rights and other sectors. Along with this broad coalition, we work to ensure that the European Union and its Member States live up to their commitments made when signing the Agenda 2030.
Current Projects
We contribute to two of the four working strands:
- Joint advocacy and Policy Coherence;
- Monitoring Accountability and Review.
We regularly participate in joint actions and contribute to reports focused on monitoring the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and examining the adequacy of existing EU strategies, policies and practices in light of the need to achieve the SDGs and their targets.
What we produced together
In 2020 we contributed to the SDG Watch Report "Time to reach for the moon" where we highlighted effective "Stop FGM" passports/declarations that were incorporated by a number of European countries.
