Aminata Bah [she/her]
Aminata Bah is the Operations and Governance Officer of End FGM European Network.
Aminata is a mother, a British activist from Guinean heritage, and has been at the forefront of the fight against FGM and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) for over a decade. She is a recipient of the True Honour Awards 2024, from IKWRO Women’s Rights Organisation (True Honour Awards 2024 – IKWRO). Before joining The End FGM EU Network, Aminata was a registered Social Worker, intervening at the forefront of Child Protection and Safeguarding children and families within local authorities in London-UK. Prior to this, Aminata worked with NHS England supporting FGM survivors and affected communities, also in HR management, Adult Professional Training, and Early Childhood Education.
Between 2017 and 2025, Aminata served as the Head of Women and Community Partnership at La Fraternité Guinéenne and was a member of Unshackle Dumar (community-based organisations), leading numerous initiatives aimed at protecting and supporting women and girls across London and beyond. In 2024, she worked with Cllr Naima Ali, Mayor of Southwark (London-UK) and FGM Ambassador, delivering monthly seminars on FGM awareness. Trained by Forward UK as a FGM Community Champion and Peer Educator, Aminata has been an Ambassador for the End FGM European Network since 2019. She was elected to the board of the Network and served as one of its co-presidents between 2022 and 2024.
