About the End FGM European Network
The End FGM European Network (End FGM EU) is based in Brussels and brings together 32 national organisations in 15 European counties working in the field of female genital mutilation (FGM) as a form of violence against women and girls. It offers a platform for organisations and women and girls affected by FGM to engage directly with European decision makers. The experiences and expertise of member organisations define and guide the network’s calls for European and national political action to end FGM.

Role Responsibilities
This position will focus on maintaining and continuing existing streams of funding and on conceptualising and establishing new funding opportunities for funding and building on the capacity of the End FGM European Network.
Tasks will include the tasks listed in the job description (including fundraising strategy development & implementation; partnership building; fundraising and reporting coordination for the Secretariat)
Experience and Skills
Essential:
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in fundraising, donor management or in a related role;
- In depth knowledge of the philanthropic and institutional funding landscape for Europe (including EU funding programmes and foundations funding European NGOs);
- Proven track record of proposal writing and successful project grants & applications – combined with the ability to structure impact, outcomes and outputs (chain of results);
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally;
- Good understanding of NGO finances and budgets; comfortable enough with budgeting to develop, present and negotiate budgets;
- Experience in managing donor reporting requirements;
- A university degree or equivalent experience in human rights, political science, gender studies or any other specific field relevant to End FGM EU’s work and/or relevant working experience;
- Professional fluency in oral and written English;
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving and strong organisational and project management skills;
- Ability to think and plan strategically, and to break projects into defined tasks;
- High level of initiative and the ability to motivate colleagues toward a common goal;
- Ability to work to a high standard, managing stress effectively whilst prioritising multiple tasks and competing deadlines.

What we offer
- This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic network interacting daily with organisations passionately committed to women’s rights and ending FGM;
- Location: Brussels, Belgium (with some home-working);
- Full time contract 38h/week;
- This is a fixed-term appointment for one year, with the possibility of renewal to a CDI;
