Fatumata Kromah is 29 years old, born in Liberia and has been living in Hamburg since 2000. 

Fatumata is a registered nurse in a cardio-surgical and neuro-surgical unit. She has already gained much experience with FGM through her many years of voluntary work. Since 2014, she has been a member and board member of the non-profit organization LESSAN. LESSAN e.V. coordinates local, national, European and international projects to protect and empower women and girls against gender-based violence.

Fatumata has also coordinated several projects with the target group described above. Since 2020, she is also a bachelor's student in the study program Interdisciplinary Health Care and Management at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAWMs. Fatumata is, therefore, all the more pleased to gain further experience as a board member of End FGM EU to learn and contribute to ending FGM/C and other forms of violence against women and girls.
