Blaithin Quigley [she/her]

Bláithín manages the End FGM EU’s portfolio of EU-funded projects, coordinating with our team and partners to develop and maintain project plans and ensure the project objectives' successful implementation. She works closely with our partners and stakeholders and coordinates EU project applications & co-funding applications.

Before taking on this role, Bláithín worked with various international organisations supporting asylum seekers with their legal procedures on the Greek islands and in Ireland. She managed a legal aid centre for almost three years, working directly with Survivors of FGM, SGBV and EFM. She has extensive experience advocating at national levels for enhanced protection, destigmatisation, and appropriate support for survivors, and she has facilitated awareness-raising training on these topics for organisations in Greece. In addition to legal advising, she has experience in fundraising, donor relations, project management and representation.

Bláithín has a bachelor’s degree in law from Trinity College, Dublin, a certificate in Humanitarian Project Cycle Management from Bioforce in France and a master’s degree in Public International Law from the University of Leiden. She is qualified as an English language teacher and has taught migrant learners for an extensive period in Ireland, Spain, and the Netherlands. 

Bláithín speaks English and Irish and has a good level of Spanish.
